The third book I read written by Bhagat. The first one, The Three Mistakes Of My Life was a good one but had a lot of argot language stuffed in it. Yes, this one has got slang language too, but in proportion I mean not in every sentence you say!
Five Point Someone, that 'somone' is Bhagat's protoganist Hari. It is written in an authobiographical manner, like any other Bhagat book.
Three friends, Hari, Alok and Ryan are roommates in India's best college campus, IIT. They have messed up their grades big time, Alok is the only person who cares. Hari is in love with a professor's girl so he is also like in a bit of a messy situation.
All in all, this is a fast paced Bhagat book. Great fun to read, I was literally not able to put this one down. Bhagat depicts how life in IIT is and he does it well as he himself has studied in the campus.
It is a 270 pages full of fun and all. The writing is so lucid and simple, the one which we talk in our real life, that it takes you into the book, enjoying the care free life of the three students.
3% of the story was taken by filmakers and made 3 Idiots, the world wide block buster. Forget the controversy, pick this book up and jump into a great enjoyable world. I will give it 4.5 out of 5.
